Creating a culture of reading

The Zazi Reading Programme is an initiative aimed at the youth of South Africa especially the black youth in underprivileged areas of townships. 

 

The programme is a mobile library, distributing motivational and spiritual development books to two groups of targeted readers. The first group is children between the ages of 6 to 13 years and the second group is between ages of 14 to 18 years.

 

“For the current phase we will focus on Grade 4 learners due to limitation of resources.

The programme is under the Agape Love ministry founded in November 2016. The main objective of the Agape Love ministry is harnessing holistic healing by empowering the poor in soul and means through the ministry of love, our mission is pioneering, empowering and taking responsibility through chain reaction of love”, said Penny Koetle, Agape Love ministry founder.

 

“We are in need monetary donations to buy specific books and/or you can bring old books that meet the requirements - motivational and spiritual development.  If you are interested in making a donation, you can make cash contribution or directly buy the books in our list. The list will be provided upon request”.

 

The programme entails distribution of books, presentations, empowering the youth with different life and communication skills.
