Fun-filled day of recycling awareness creation

Mpact Recycling, a leading paper recycler in South Africa partnered with Mrs South Africa pageant, a woman empowerment programme for the fourth year in an initiative to promote recycling awareness.

Through this initiative, the Top 100 of Mrs South Africa Semi Finalists are required to work alongside Mpact Rexyxling at community suppliers with the aim of promoting recycling awareness, supporting fund-raising initiatives and increasing recycling volumes.

Mpact Rexycling collects approximately 600 000 tonnes per annum of recovered paper and PET. Five of the Top 100 Mrs SA Semi Finalists Rox-Anne Maistry, Lerato Moholo, Nombina Habangna, Fatima Dadoo and Channel Caddie, joined forces and took the Recycle Challenge to Craighall Park in a fun-filled event where they collected paper, newspapers, magazines, old books, egg cartons, flattened cardboard and milk & juice cartons.
