Mpho continues to shine and making SA proud

Mpho Botha a 17-year old, Mr Teen World 2016 as well as Mr Jnr Africa 2017, a learner in Grade 12 at Welkom-Gimnasium, where he also serves as the Deputy Head boy has been chosen as a Yale Model United Nations Ambassador.

After a tough panel of judging thousands and thousands of applicants from around the world, Mpho was included in the cut of only 46 Ambassador that were chosen to attend the Yale Model United Nations Conference next in America at Yale University
from the 19th till the 21st of January. At this conference thousands of delegates attend to discuss and debate issues that affect youth in their respective countries. The conference will also be filled with international speakers and world leaders.

Mpho is not a stranger to the international stage as this year he was also included in the Top 30 Young African leaders complied by the African Leadership Academy and in 2016 He represented South Africa at
the 25th annual Mr Teen World pageant in Turkey, where he competed with 24 countries and he surprisingly walked away with the highly coveted title.

This is definitely a teen to watch out for as he is also the founder and director of the Mpho Charl Botha diabetic foundation, which is a Nonprofit that helps children living with diabetes. When asked what his plans for the future are, he confidently replied: “I plan pass my matric with distinctions as to pursue a business degree and to pursue a career in television presenting”.
