Jaen accepted as youngest inventor by Innovation Hub

Jaen-Jacques Nell (19) invented the World First Patent Driver Behavior Monitoring to help prevent road deaths. The ex-Limpopo scholar, now University of Pretoria student says he invented smart plate to make a difference in the world and South Africa; “to stop the senseless killing on our roads that cost government R306 billion a year”.

At age 16 while his friends were playing, Jaen used his savings and with the help of his dad developed his product. “I invented Smartplate after I saw the pain and suffering my fellow school friends had to endure, after their parents got killed on the road to Limpopo”.
