Boitumelo Tshediso Molotsi better known as Melo to her fans is a 25-year-old artist based in Johannesburg who uses her music to heal and convey messages of hope. She fuses soul with gospel and variations of other genres like RnB hip hop, Afro-pop, and reggae.

 

Melo had her launch on the 1st of June 2019 at World of Yamaha. In attendance were various broadcasters from different radio stations and TV channels.

The launch went off without a hitch and the attendance was great. Melo performed her single titled Shakara which is loved by her fans. She had them hyped up and on their feet and singing every word of the song with her. She performed a number of her other songs like We don't stop, Dance for you and Light and even had a young poet come onto the stage and recite a piece he had written. Melo debuted her video for the single Shakara which had the crowd raving even after the launch. She topped the night off with Shakara after her fans wanted an encore and the crowd went wild chanting "Melo" as they left the auditorium.

 

" I could not have imagined putting together something like that. I wanted it to really be a beautiful and different experience for everyone involved and for everyone that came to support. I am so grateful and humbled by the whole evening and I am so excited for what the future holds."

 

Melo had a successful album launch and the crowd reacted positively to her performances and they bought her album and there were prizes that were won by some members of the crowd.
