Synagogue Children of Hope orphanage in Honeydew, Johannesburg was abuzz with activity as Women of God Africa, an outreach ministry brought some much needed supplies to enjoy a Christmas party with the kids.

The children, aged between 7 months and 11 years were all smiles as they enjoyed the treats, toys and good food, something that they’ve never experienced before.

Orphanage founder, Anna Msimango says it’s been a challenge running the home without any form of funding. The home relies on generous people who visit from time to time.

Women of God Africa has been working with orphanages since inception in 2012, helping out with food items, clothing and providing care for the kids to relieve their caregivers. The ministry carries out a number of outreaches that benefit the poor, orphans, and widows. It has adopted a couple of families and Synagogue Children of Hope and assists matric students from orphanages and underprivileged homes with their matric dance.

The Christmas spirit cheered the kids up as they indulged in their Christmas goodies. Those who would like to assist the home in any way are more than welcome to do so.
