Friends of Uyinene Mrwetyana have turned to the power of social media for the safe return of the 19-year-old, UCT student, whose whereabouts are currently unknown.

 

 

On Tuesday #BringNeneHome trended on Twitter, as the search for the young woman entered its third day.

Mrwetyana was last seen on Saturday at 1.30pm in Claremont, Cape Town. According to The Pink Ladies organisation, which helps in the search for missing women and children, Mrwetyana was last seen wearing brown corduroy pants and had a black bag.

 

Messages of support to have the Mrwetyana home safe have filled timelines, as South African pray for the young woman to be found.
